Things you would need to fill your Express Entry Profile

Hello there,

I get a lot of inquiries from people who wish to migrate to Canada. They know the process very well. Everybody knows that Canada has introduced the Express Entry system to filter potential immigrants and that the process is super fast, as compared to around 10 years ago, when you had to wait for 6-7 years to get to Canada.

But, there are a few things that everyone who wishes to migrate to Canada should know. For your Express Entry profile, you WILL need the following three things to proceed ahead:
  1. Language Test Result: Canada only accepts IELTS (General module) and CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) as proofs of your English language proficiency. For French, the only acceptable test is TEF (Test d’évaluation de français). The tests should have been taken in the last two years only.
  2. ECA (Education Credential Assessment): If you are educated outside Canada (anywhere in the world), you will have to get your education assessed against Canadian standards. Following are the designated organizations:
    • Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
    • International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
    • World Education Services
    • International Qualifications Assessment Service
    • International Credential Evaluation Service
    • Medical Council of Canada
    • Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body for Pharmacists)
  3. NOC (National Occupation Qualification): You will need to know the skill type of the work experience that you want to claim points for. Choosing the correct NOC code is essential to the success of your visa application.
Thus, before you start your application, you MUST have the above three things with you to proceed ahead. If you need assistance or more information on the same, please do not hesitate to contact me.
