  1. When I step out of my home, I probably hear 10 different languages being spoken. I can't understand them all, but I am glad that I get to experience what multiculturalism is, first hand. America, they say is the melting pot, where you leave your individual cultures behind and come out as pure Americans. Whereas in Canada, you still retain your individual identity.
  2. Canada looks even better in Snow. It is mystical. Wide open fields all painted in pure white. You will fall in love with it. You just can't stop admiring mother nature when you see white fluffy cotton fall from the sky and drape everything in a white blanket.
  3. To hear Thank You and Sorry over and over again. You let someone pass, they say thank you. You hand someone a pen, they say Thank you. On the contrary, if someone steps in your path, they get out of the way and say Sorry. If someone blocks your way, they politely say Sorry and step aside. This is Canada, probably the most polite people you will ever come across.
  4. No sales, only marketing. We don't force a product down your throat. We tell you what it is and you buy it, only if you like it. No strings attached. 
  5. The Government takes good care of its residents financially and emotionally. Not only do you get all social benefits like free universal health care, child benefits etc but you also get to be with you loved ones through the most generous immigration policies across the world.
  6. We have more lakes than the rest of the world combined together. Yes, that's true. No matter where you live. You are never far from a lake. You can go fishing, do boating or just sit and relax besides it. Thus you are never far from nature.
  7. We have 6 different time zones! There is a five hours time difference between one end of Canada to its other end. You need to double check the time zone before you call your friend in another part of Canada.
  8. Every Province is different. They follow their own rules. As an example, driving rules are different, driving tests are different. Your license from one Province is not valid in another Province. Every Province even has it's own separate flag and has it's own identity. But still we are one.
  9. Canada has been ranked as the best country in the world to live in by not one, not two, but by almost every publication. Over and over again. And we are amongst the most happiest country in the world.
  10. Canada is one of the most tolerant countries in the world. We accept everyone. No matter what religion you follow, if you are an LGBTQ, refugee, want to do business here, are here for family reunification, want to settle here based on your skills. No matter which nation in the world you come from. We welcome you.
